When people move house it can be such an exciting time that they forget that one of the first things I would personally advise them to do is replace the locks that way you know for sure you have the keys.
Why you may ask ?
Well there could have been many people that have had access to your property before you, which in turn means access to the keys.
Builders, Painters, carpet fitters, electricians, plumbers, estate agents, previous occupants, their family members, their friends, health care assistants , inspectors, neighbours, how many spare keys have been cut after being lost ,misplaced or extra ones cut for ease ? keys that access your property and possessions.

Yes unfortunately their are rogue traders in every profession including my own and I’ve been to a few properties around Dorset where sub standard locks and even second hand locks have been fitted, replaced, or customers even being told by the jack of all trades (you know the sort who do it all apparently, doors ,windows, locks , conservatories, building work, property maintenance, handy man type ) that they need new doors or windows when sometimes this has clearly not been the case.
