What a fantastic day today. Each job is always differant and today proved just that.
I had the tricky but privilaged task of opening an Antique Treasure chest today for a client simular to the picture to the right.
The complex lock was unpickable which made it very interesting to say the least. The key had worn over the years and was inoperable.
With upmost care I then removed a back wooden panel to see if access could be gained.
What did I find? A false panel preventing further access. Fantastic! I love this unique and varied side of the business.
Back to the front and a shortish while later access was gained to all the drawers in the secret chest.
Being a responsible locksmith I cannot reveal how access was eventually gained, but just had to share this wonderful day with you all.

customer had bought this over from south Africa and has been handed down the generations.
I would like one too they look great and although simplistic in operation it was equally great but challenging to work on
